Something a bit different for Gravelly Barn. Jan Marques, a long-time resident of Cockhamsted, Braughing, kindly donated a wonderful collection of art and prints to be sold for charity. She has recently downsized her home and could not find space for all her work.

Jan says: ” My husband David and I, plus our children, lived in Cockhamsted for nearly 46 years. There was a lot of wall space to fill and these pictures were the ones that I could not find a spot for at Bell House. I hope someone will enjoy them and help our charities.”

The sale, plus a soup kitchen on the Friday and refreshments on both days, raised just over £1,100 for Breast Cancer Now and Mesothelioma UK
