Our latest 12-inch canvas for charity show was as spectacular and varied as in past years. Almost 900 visitors over the four days saw 420 works on display: painting, drawing, sculpture, collage, watercolour, stitching, electronics, glass…..just about every medium you can imagine.
The exhibition was launched at a private view on the Thursday. It was officially opened by Hal Fowler, who set the evening swinging with his rendition of L.O.V.E. And he made sure that everyone joined in!
A very BIG thank you to everyone who bought blank canvases, submitted completed ones and bought them. And thank you, too, to all the Gravelly Barn team and helpers who worked tirelessly throughout the show. We couldn’t do it without you.
The final figure raised was a magnificent £12,500. All the money raised has been split among our 10 chosen charities: Breast Cancer Now, Razed Roof, Marie Curie, The Guide Dog Association, Wood Green Animal Shelter, ERIC (The children’s continence charity), Safer Houses, Cancer Hair Care, Waste Not Want Not and The Essex and Herts Air Ambulance.
