When we first started thinking about “Everyday Matters” we envisaged selling around 100 canvases. Little did we know what was to come. We eventually sold 267 and had 234 returned to hang at our exhibition. The work was as diverse as it was impressive, creating an exciting show for exhibitors and just over 600 visitors. The private view attracted over 200 guests, including Kim Wilde, who opened the event. Over the two following days we sold 112 canvases, many cups of tea and coffee, as well as delicious cakes, generously donated by Jane Charman, of Skillett in Stanstead Abbotts. The final total raised was an amazing £8,000, which will go to the Norma Adams Crocus Appeal at Breakthrough Breast Cancer.
