Our first 10-day exhibition and it turned out to be a venture worth all the effort. We had hundreds of visitors and raised an amazing £2,400 for our three chosen charities: Breast Cancer Now, Riding for the Disabled and Bliss, which supports families of premature babies. The variety of work on show was, once gain, inspiring and impressive, from photography and glass to pottery and painting, from prints to tapestry – and even a horse box in the drive offering visitors a unique, multi-sensory experience.
On the first Sunday we were host for the second time to the Buntingford Third Age Ukes with a fine selection of familiar tunes. And on Saturday 15th the garden was full for the Braughing Sing Summer picnic concert, raising money for the Alzheimer’s Society’s Singing for the Brain initiative.
Once again we would like to thank all those who came to the show, bought art, sampled the delicious teas and cakes and made donations. Also to those who took part and helped behind the scenes. We couldn’t do it without you. Thanks too to those who donated prizes and cakes.
